About Brian
My name is Brian Luzader and I am the artist behind Luzader Studios. I have a passion for creating and aim to bring a sense of playfulness and positivity through all of my creations. My ultimate goal is to bring as much love, light, and happiness as I can to the world and use a creative outlet to do so.
I am inspired by the excitement of the unknown, exploration, nature, and the creative energy that surrounds me. I strive to channel that energy and magic into my art. My process is often spontaneous & intuitive and I create as I go, playing off of a feeling and then exploring until it feels right. I use color and movement to create balance & harmony. My job as an artist is to have that final composition “wow” the viewer.
I have a background in sculpture, metal fabrication, woodworking, and furniture design. I have gained knowledge from much of my past experience including working in an NYC metal foundry, working for an upscale design & fabrication company in FL, studying for my Furniture Design degree at SCAD, and professionally installing art and curating shows for multiple galleries in the Asheville area. I strive to bring all of this knowledge and experience into my current art and business.
I still have a love for sculpture and design but painting became a form of therapy from the perfectionism and exact-ness needed when working in those fields. I began to experience a sense of freedom in painting and it became a love quickly.
Outside of the studio I love being active and enjoying the outdoors, cycling, hiking, parkour & any kind of movement! My wife and I thru—hiked the Appalachian Trail, fell in love with the Asheville area, and relocated here in 2018.
I am currently displaying my art in the River Arts District in Asheville, NC. and am a member of the River Arts District Association.
I also have my private studio/gallery space inside Riverview Station - please stop by it’s located at191 Lyman Street, Suite 267, Asheville, NC. 28806.
